A Highgate House.
An architecturally re-design Highgate house, that had created a space for a bookcase in the main living area.
One of the first things the home owners had purchased was sumptuous rug in shades of blue & grey and the inspiration for the bookcase was drawn from that.
The squares on the cupboard doors were flocked and then inlaid into panel doors, giving not colour but also texture to match the rug.
Muswell Hill
A refurbished Muswell Hill house, the owners wanted a large statement piece for the family room. Something that would hold all the bits and bobs of family life but was also sleek and functional.
Butterfly Bar
I trained as a traditional cabinet maker so I like traditional ways, but with a modern twist. This Butterfly Bar was the first of my take on marquetry. It was followed by the Miss Jackson collection.
Each Butterfly was indivdualy flocked so that no two are the same, each one was inlaid into a high gloss door, at a different angle to the others, giving a feeling of flight.
The bar top is made of back painted glass.
